Germanium and Gallium Recovery in IGCC Plants

The special characteristics of the IGCC process are taken advantage of in relation to the possibility of recovering valuable metals, such as Ge and Ga , from fly ash produced at the Puertollano IGCC Plant. AICIA has specifically designed a process for recovering germanium from the ash and has built a pilot scale plant which is at present being improved.
