AICIA is developing new techniques and tools for simulating and perfecting the manufacturing processes to introduce new aeronautical materials, basically carbon fibre and other compound materials such as Non-Crimp Fabrics (known as NCF).
Multi-scale, numerical simulation of key processes in the manufacturing of aircraft engines, and the integration of numerical tools for process simulation stand out amongst the tools developed.

Numerical Analysis

Numerical analysis is carried out by various methods, such as finite elements or boundary elements, of the fracture performance of materials with elastic and lineal behaviour. The growth of a crack or the determination of important parameters of materials under both static and dynamic conditions can be predicted using various models.
